SPAR under siege

SPAR has confirmed that it faces a multi-million rand lawsuit following its botched software implementation in KZN, which comes amid continued financial struggles for the retailer.

Angelo Swartz caused all this unnecessary kak. He took Spar from excellent to ****. It's Spars own fault that they didn't tell him to **** off and find someone capable of running their organisation and keeping ALL franchisee's happy before it was too late.

Lesson learnt. Much money down the drain.
Doesn’t the chairman get any blame?

Spar's implementation of SAP was a complete disaster. Probably zero planning. I don't know. Will be interesting to see if the franchise survives this.

But once it's successfully installed and eventually working it's excellent?
"Installed" and "working" can be *very* subjective. Changing your internal SOPs to accommodate your ERP is just plain wrong.

Just ask Nike, Diageo, Lidl, Birmingham City Council, Revlon, InBev.....

But once it's successfully installed and eventually working it's excellent????

Crazy. So all the money and **** lost in the interim is acceptable??

🤔🤔🤔🤔
excellent or "acceptable"?

SAP consultants/implementation specialists rolling in there at R12k a day. They can configure it hardcore... but how flexible is SAP? I've always wondered. I've heard tales of "you have option A or B and that's that... if you want a more bespoke option you have to pay a lot and even then SAP might not even be willing unless you want bespoke stuff across multiple sections".
