If I make it into the enemy spawn on COD4 multiplayer without getting killed and I kill a couple of people (please note that I have never killed anyone as they spawn) I usually run around and shoot a couple of unsuspecting marines.. :D

My question is, who is at fault? The marines/opfor who don't take me out before I get to their spawn, or me for being a wascally wabbit? :p

I know what Kyubi's thoughts will be...

Its your class dude. You playing ghost class. The game is designed to play how you want to play. If you want sneak around and flank them you can do that. and if you not noticed which means you a play well as a ghost.

If you also want to run in open and Toob you can do that too...If you want camp and pin down players at certain locations you can do that too....


But someone will always be complaining at your play style. If you ghost and spawn rape, they will complain. If you Toob someone will complain. If you camp and pin down players someone will complain.


My thoughts continue to ghost and spawn rape them! :P

The game allows certain game-play.
That game-play must be utilised by players to it's fullest extent, which is the aim of the game.

If the game allows spawn raping, then, trying to stop spawn raping simply causes emotionally charged conflict. The server hosts should simply say: If you don't want to get spawn raped, either spawn elsewhere or don't spawn at all if you notice it happening.

Every server host that sets down it's own rules and regulations beyond the game implemented rules is a nightmare to operate. Game developers simply do not cater for "custom rules".

Yep. Id be online tonight definitely. Join Marines and SAS and we PWN them :) . I usually join those factions. I rarely play opfor because i have trouble with seeing marines on Crash and Backlot.

My Rig similar to yours. Mines Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz 4GB DRR2 800 and 9800gtx with Vista x64

Capped already? What is your cap? Mine is 3Gb and I am only half way there. But I must admit I have not really played much this month.
 
Well I guess if you managed to get to their spawn point without them taking you out then what are you suppose to do? Throw your arms up and say sorry I am walking back to my corner.

It is one of those things and you can comunicate with your team members to take the guy out.

Spawn raping in COD is less irritating or ghey cause your spawn points change the whole time. I have very seldom felt that I am being spawn raped, Since you only die like once from spawn rape then you have spawned on the other side of the map.

So NO what your doing is flanking and then removing the enemies, not spawn raping.
 
My cap is also 3 Gig. I have local bandwidth now though. I haven't played cod much this month but played a few games of HON. That eat my bandwidth.

lewls dude. I hate people who complain about spawn raping in COD4, especially since people just pop up every where. Its not as if I'm gona let him run around for a while first before I shoot him. Im just gona shoot him and move on.
 
I don't mind the people that sneak around the back and kill me a few times.
Its the Heli/Airstrike raep I hate. I can usually counter people who sneak around.
It's the reason I joined Promod.
 
I guess everybody loves cod 4 different reasons. Imo I love the kill streak system and perk system. I love air-strikes and heli's. I think its what makes Cod 4 fun. Not that promod is not fun. Its a lot like CSS which is also tons of fun, but i prefer the action and feeling when playing cod normally. its more action packed and cinematic running through an airstrike and heli :). The music, sound of gunfire, insane strikes and helis is more lively. Promod is a lot more quite and and as the name suggest "Promod", its for the Pros. Just my thoughts...

Cant wait for Modern Warfare 2 with AC130 gunship!!! and Hans Zimmer doing music for Modern Warfare 2. We will be playing Domination on the Black Pearl(Wet Works) :P

Promod gets so boring sooo fast love the action. But yeah on some maps spawn rape is bad.

I was online. I left about 10eish...

I was on HC Server II. Yeah, I remember Igloo the naut, he always kills me with them toobs. He dangerous with them.

Spawn Rape is bad on Chinatown and Backlot. On Crash you can get out of it. In Chinatown, once they all up in the buildings and all sides secure you pretty much screwed.


Imo, On sabotage game modes its easier to get out of Spawn Rape. On Domination, its much worse once two points have been captured the Spawn Rape on the 3rd point can get really bad.
