speakers for r1500

I'm looking to buy a decent set of computer speakers. Budget is about r1500. What would be the best set to get for that price?
Would it be better to get a mid range 5.1 system or something like the logitech z2300's?
I'm tempted to wait a while and try and get a set of second hand z680's.
They seem to be very rare though.

I think the z2300's are for sure your best bet... but it also depends what you are looking for.. the 5.1 is quite nice for watching 5.1 movies and playing games. but if its only for music the z2300 are really much much better... 200w RMS.. who needs more

GO for the Logitech Z2300 It's Awesome sounds great crisp bass got it for 8 mths now.But the only Prob is costs around +- R2000

It's going to be mostly for music, but will also used for games and 5.1 movies.
