Speakers

No. Well the Labtecs might be OK. Do you need 5.1? Look at Creative SBS A300 or Logitech X-210, these will be better quality, but they're 2.1.

For 5.1, Logitech X-530 are great. But they're R850. :(

I just bought myself the Logitech X530. They are seriously awesome, worth the extra cash imo.

Some people just have financial limits. ;) I'll go 2.1, if I must. But I found a user review where it says the Labtec is good.

Dude those are cheap and should be good enough hey.

I bought sahara ones for 250 bucks and they rocked for 250 bucks :D

If its just for casual use I'm sure they'll do fine. If you really into movies (and I don't mean ****e xvid rips) then its worth investing a little more to get a good surround sound system. the logitec x530 and z5500 ranges offer amazing bang for buck just stay away form the logitec g51 set I think they called they sound horrible for what you pay for them. If you more into music a good stereo system would be a better buy as stereo is still the default for music. again logitec will probably offer you the best sound in terms of speakers and what you willing to spend

I will use it mainly for music, gaming and video rips. But sometimes I want to experience the surround sound in games and movies...

Well I had some old Creative nice-ish, but they gave up after 4 years of use... But I never had 5.1 so I just want to try them...

how good is this Logitech X-530 system you guys speak of? 850 doesn't sound too expensive IMO
