Looking to buy a set of 2.1 speakers, nothing too spectacular (under R250). If there are any techies/salespeople familiar with this product, is it worthwhile?

I have these little speakers, they are pretty good. Nice and loud also.

If you want good base dude http://www.prophecy.co.za/creative-sbsa200-speaker-p-56323.html

You cannot adjust the base but it is perfect.

The creative sub's rms is 5w, so i'm still siding for now with my initial setup (S-220)...its cheaper too. Still, when i'm off to buy them be sure those speakers are gonna be cranked up;)

I have a logitech 2.1 system and the bass is just crap even on the fullest.

Whatever you do please do not purchase this crap http://www.prophecy.co.za/logitech-980000058-ls21-42x15-with-headphone-p-29160.html

Also review review review bud.

LOL! Yeah, saw this one on the pricelist, extra R40 for wired remote but crappier sub compared to the S-220. Thank you logitech but my winstick + cordless rumblepad does fine enough:)

I have these speakers and although I am no audiophile, I am seriously chuffed with them. And what a nice price!
They have good sound, good volume and I eventually had to turn the sub down to less than half so that it wasn't so noticable.
You will not be disappointed.

I just bought a set of speakers from Cash Crusader two weeks back for R220. It was for the maids son - 14yrs old coloured (his birthday present).

He loved them and the sound is awesome. Oh, and his neigbours also love the speakers ;)

If anything where to happen to my Creative 2.1s, I would get the Cash Crusader ones.

Oh, they do have a crap one for R180 but it is really crap.

So Cash Crusaders is the place to go for a coloured boy's gift then?

Why even mention that the kid is brown? Does it help with the review of the hardware?

The budget for his gift was R200

I use to work in a PC store and the local coloured kids would always be the most critical customers on speakers - its 'cause they know what they want.

If I sold a set to a coloured kid, within a week I would sell another dozen to his white buddies. Lets be honest, all the best mobile DJ Taxis belong to the coloured brothers ;)

Let's all relax so he said coloured nothing really to get upset about.

This is the rainbow nation and we are white, black coloured blah blah if i left anyone out i do apologize :D.

So anyways back to the speaker chat.

Interesting Freudian slip:-

white... comma... black coloured blah blah
