Has anyone ever gotten one? Not the temp plates but the special ones...

Difference is that you need roadworthy with the temp and it lasts 21 days rather than 3.

Need it to get tyres and go for roadworthy. Apparently the mechanic nearly got it impounded for not having an up to date license disk while on his way to deliver to me yesterday so I'd rather not take my chances.

Does it look any different to the temp plate?

Temp permit expiry dates are generally completed with black pen/koki whilst Special permits expiry dates are completed in red.

Aside from that they look pretty identical. With the exception of the expiry dates.

There are no special requirements to get one, normally just your ID and a copy thereof and the vehicles details that you want the permit for.

Just remember that vehicles displaying a Special Permit cannot carry passengers/goods.
