What can you all tell me about viewfinders and spectacles? I want to shoot with my specs on. Am I looking for bigger viewfinders? Who's got the most spec-friendly viewfinders?

:)

There's another thread along these lines going "DSLR and shortsighted" or something to that effect.

I think in the end it's down to how it feels to you. I hate shooting with my glasses on. But my grandpa shot with a Spotmatic for 30 years with his glasses on and it never seemed to bother him.

Yip, my thread, I thought this topic would best have a different thread. ;)

Would be interesting to see Canon vs. Nikon entry/mid-levels compared in terms of use with glasses. Sony is out, I read they use some of the smallest viewfinders on the market.

Wouldnt it make sense to head off to your nearest camera shop and try all the brands out?

More often than not, I don't use specs when I take pics. I do have them dangling around my neck though ;). I found that with specs on, your eye is further from the viewfinder, so your field of view is reduced a bit, but it's usable.
