Speed test issue

Hello all, I have a strange problem, If I run a speed test from my Windows 10 laptop on 50/50 fibre I get 47 down and around 20 up, if I run a speed test on the same network with my Android phone I get 47/47, I am running the speed tests to the same server in this case Cool Ideas. All speed tests to all providers on the laptop seem to perform the same 47/20, this happens wired and wireless and with nothing else connected to the router. But If I run a speed test to VOX JHB then my test is 47/47 so WTF is going on I can't work out why I cant get a consistent result from my Windows 10 Laptop... any ideas?

Have you checked your drivers and what is the speed that your laptop is syncing on your local network at via wifi i have found a issue once on a alienware that it was kak slow. Got drivers from the direct maker and fixed it.

This is normal IMHO, something about tcp settings for windows causes poor upload figures, but doesn't reflect in real life as your phone says with android os which shows the true value.

If you upload something, I'm sure you'll see your full speed. Try wetransfer.com.

My advise, take speedtest upload result with a pinch of salt if from windows os.

You can also try tcpoptimizer 4 (free download), which made a massive difference with single thread performance in my life.

Choose your speed using slider and optimise. Reboot.
 
Cool I will try, I have changed drivers, oddly enough, I had the infrastructure provider at my house they got the same result with the speed test, they then changed to their network (Same Fibre Line) and the speed tests were perfect. So same line different ISP same laptop, perfect speed test...Strange...
