There are some broadband starved and tortured Germans too, especially in the country with only 64Kbps available.

Internet via ISDN (64kbps) is significantly more expensive than DSL, because it's ONLY charged per minute.

Until Feb/2008 I had only ISDN available because of a too long line length. Not even 384kbps ADSL was possible.
I have paid 100€ for f.ucking 64 kbps per month.
Only since Feb/2008 I have ADSL2+.

Look at distance and ISP.
BTW:
Connection to SA is faster than to the USA.
Seems bit better for me after 5 PM, but the ping time SUCKS...

Probably the speed of his harddrive.
Speedtest results are not depending on HDD speed.
