Hi,
I am paying for the fastest Telkom speed which is according to my ADSL is 100.0 Mbps when I test using the above speed test I end up with Download speed 3.43 and upload at .43 Mbps. Does this sound correct please?
Surgeon.

You are paying for Telkom Fastest which permits speeds up to 10Mbps, depends on your exchange and other factors.

The speeds you quote indicate you are syncing at 4Mbps which is the norm. You can check with Telkom if higher sync speeds are possible on your exchange/line.

that is correct, the 100Mbps is the local network speed between your computer and you router where as the 3.43 / 0.43 is the speed from your router out your telephone line to the interwebs...

Many thanks, RockOn,
Is this speed then suitable for using Skype on an overseas link. Thanks.

there are other factors to consider besides speed, latency also has an impact, but chances are you'll be ok for Skype
