Hi all

I received the following speeding fine:

My vehicle is circled in the picture. Is this considered a valid fine? How do the authorities verify it was me speeding and not one of the other two vehicles in the photo?

Thanks!

There are two other fines that also went out.

Were you speeding at that time?

These threads amaze me...

Why do you want out of fines? Either pay it or don't. Don't try and justify yourselves not paying it :D

Yeah they can determine that it was you that triggered the camera by your position. A lot of cameras these days that catch people running the red will also flash you if you're going above the speed limit.

It flashes per lane but uses the same camera. Look at the flash on the ground. It's his lane :p

Thanks for the replies

Not trying to avoid paying - I was just wondering how they determined it to be me infringing and not the other two cars. But what you guys are saying makes sense so looks like I'll be paying up :(

Your car is the only one over the line when the picture was taken. If another car was exactly next to you then perhaps you would have a 1% chance of arguing against it.

I don't think the camera goes off for the lanes that turn. I've seen many taxis move over into this lane to overtake at the robot and then back to the center again just to avoid the camera. Pretty sure the fine is for you alone.

You can't take that right turn faster than 60km/h anyway, unless you want to end up in Super Plants.

I think its being established that you were the one speeding. just don't pay it?
