speeding up pc...game loads exc.

All is on ssd...other drives is just for data....cant see how line speed make diff....

But a new question....if i and rest of players (bf4) is in same room...how can i make my pc the fastest one :)

Why do you not feel line speed would make a difference.
My 20Mb will get me into the game faster than your 2Mb.

Have them all on one multiplug with the power switch close to you. As soon as you see the loading screen turn off their pc's.

You are now guaranteed to be first in the game.

I play online with a 1meg bud and its perfectly fine, higher speed doesnt = lower latency ive tested it extensively.

Helps for some game clients, though, like Hawken. Syncing takes much longer on 2Mb than it did on 4Mb. I'd bump up now, but I'd rather wait for the Telkom speed upgrades to take effect before I move to a 4Mb account.

Make sure the SSD is optimized well to squeeze every last bit of speed. BF4 also benefits more from higher clocked ram than most other programs for some reason. Also a fresh install of win 8.1 may help if you're serious about this...

The best thing to do for load times though (if money is no issue) would be at least 32GB of RAM for a massive ramdisk (because bf4 likes to be that game that has patches larger than other games...)

Only if you were running DDR3-1066 or 1333 beforehand. DDR3-1600 is more than enough for BF4 to perform properly. Hopping up to something like 2133Mhz is nice, but the benefits aren't always there for games running on Frostbite 3.0.

How will using a RAM disk help? Why do you recommend one so large?

Also who wants to reinstall the game after every reboot?

It's not about latency. Some games just use a lot of bandwidth. 1Meg is tiny these days.

True, but I join games faster than my friends because i have better specd hardware than them. Name some games you claim use "a lot of bandwidth" just out of curiosity.

I haven't mentioned any games ;)

Diablo 3 in a 4 man game. This is where I decided Fsck Telkom and Fsck Diablo 3.... I haven't played since.
