Speedlessness example

Link speed (tested on PC Pitstop/others) between 5kbps and 35kps. Download speeds 0,5kbps to 1,2.
Northcliff base station, good to excellent signal. Not reached cap.
I want my money back.

dont do that adsl may be telkom but still the best thing around especially with isp's dropping their prices for bandwidth

well i love my iburst, its been good to me, although its obvious not everyone gets the same but I wouldn't use iBurst for any production service just yet. I'd estimate at least a year before its considered viable for companies that have ADSL in thier area, or 3G for mobile offices.

Yeah, Iburst is something to have fun with, not something you can rely on. There's still a rocky path ahead for WBS before we see maturity and stability.

Slimothy, have you purchased any extra gigs yet since this slowdown? I'm interested to know if your speed improved after that. If you haven't, remember that it seems like a lot of capped people are getting better speeds than the non-capped ones. And if that is the case, you would be happy with iBurst, as you are not getting anything more than what you expect to get. On the other hand, getting these terrible speeds whilst not capped, just sucks!

ok well i have purchased extra gbs but that was early in the month before the problems, because after that I started noticing little tricks or times to download where I could achieve full speed so it seemed like a waste of money to buy more. I never felt the brunt of these problems, thats why I just shut up about it, I mean I got slow speeds in the day 2 weeks ago for like 2 days but my speeds are fine and were fine from before the problems. And yes I am still "capped" but I don't think we should call it capped untill they actually get around to throttling us.

I am talking about my overall experience anyway, not the last week or whatever, I'm not new to iBurst so I'm talking the whole ride from day 1, and for me its been fine for home internet where I do this and that and some work stuff and download like an idiot.

Well, they are having problems in Northcliff ever since January this year! I, and as far as I've read other users, am getting speeds worse than dial-up in the mid-90's. I've complained but WBS doesn't return my calls and emails anymore. I am cancelling my contract as of 15th May (as I already paid them for the current month).

Slimothy, thanks for that. I've also been very happy with iBurst since beginning Dec, it's only this month that has really been a disaster. You see, we don't all know your cool little tricks to get the most out of the system, but it does seem like the speeds improve AFTER one is capped.
Sooooo, I'll be aiming to go over my cap asap 'cause I need the speed improvement. (for my own sanity! :p )

It's all these port Shapping rules. I've issue access web pages, and other stuff. I can only CHAT on IRC, thats about it. WBS take out ur PORT SHAPPING, then stuff should improve.... I've not even used up 1 gig of bandwidth maybe about 500 meg upload and downloading in total.

I give WBS end of the month and then im going to return my Product, to them since they are USELESS as wireless provider and give no IMPUT to there valued clients.
