I've started pinging my hand reflex actions at random, by flip catching cardboard coasters from my coffee table.
This has proven much more reliable than my Tel*** internet connection.

please tell me I'm living on 'the edge'

Seriously Telkom / IS / Openweb. Is this the kind of kuk I have to pay copious amounts of money for?

And no, the issue is not on my side.

Meh, then it looks to be my side. (Not IS/Openweb then)

/me gets scissors to snip telephone cord with. :(

hehe, i wouldnt go that far :P Maybe it is in fact IS but just your area or an area that your line is routed through. Has happened to me more than once...

Since yesturday I'm having alot of problems. Can barely connect today, youtube isn't loading msn won't sign in etc

I cant connect...anyone also cant connect? Or is their fault my side? DSL due sync on router...the light burn.

Telkom Internet account. Very slow international and can't even connect to a lot of sites. *fail*

I am having serious issues with my line aswell.

I have a 4mb line installed and at this time of morning - 06:30 - 12:00 ish. i do a speed test on speedtest.net and at this time i get a reasonable 3.4mb down and 400 up but the problem comes later in the evening, when it even becomes near impossible to even browse web pages as my line feels like a 56k. i don't loose connection but all i can use are IM services if they are logged in.

This is a new line installed here, they used my cable i was on in june and gave it to someone else because we waited two days to order our new line (we had to change account owners ) and the previous line was the best line i have ever had. Had no problems what so ever, everything ran smooth and was stable enough to let me host games for people.

If anyone has any ideas as to who to speak to about this and maybe how to troubleshoot the problem. i assume this has nothing to do with my ISP webafrica, the issues i get from them are during my "good" internet time during the day.

edit:: Did some looking around this morning and have been advised the route that needs to be take with this issue. It is a line fail and a technician has to be called out. Although he did warn it took up to two months for them to find the problem and fix it . It took him phoning them on a daily basis with the complaint about the bad line.
