Spicy Peppadew Soup

So I had some fresh Peppadews left over that I needed to use. You can substitute any type of Chillies and adjust the quantity according to the heat level you like. Warms you up nicely on a cold winter's day.

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh peppadews, destalked with seeds
1 large onion roughly chopped
4 cloves garlic
1 inch fresh ginger finely chopped
1 tin tomatoes
1 tspn mustard seeds
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 tspn fenugreek powder or 1 tbspn dried fenugreek leaves
Salt to taste

Destructions:

Boil 1.5 litres water
Add all ingrdients and simmer for 30-60 minutes
Either serve as is, strain for consomme or blend and then simmer for at least a further 20 minutes then serve.
 
I see guy fieri loves those things, never stops mentioning them.
