Splintercell Double Agent defaulting to Next Gen visuals

Does anybody know how to force Splintercell Double Agent to use my custom video settings. No matter what res I run it at and no matter how many times I save, apply and change the settings it always defaults to Next Generation instead of custom or standard. The problem is that I have to play at 640x480 with Next Gen or else performance is crap. I have tried with an older version of the game and the latest update. Damn it.
 
Yeah SC: DA is a piece of buggy cr@p. Was so looking forward to it but when I heard all problems I never bothered buying it. So sorry can't help you there :o
 
I know. I bought it for R280 and I am struggling to finish it. Bad performance and annoying...
 
pkid, there is a way that you can go and disable it in the scda.ini file, i'll search for it tomorrow and see if I find it.
