Hi All,

Hopefully someone is able to assist me with setting up Fibre at a new office.

Basically we are moving a site this month and there is Afrihost Fibre in the area. The pricing seems really good (Vox seems to be about 6x the price for some reason). When going through the quote options I asked the question about splitting the connection between the different LAN interfaces and if they are able to offer that, which they told me they can't.

So my question is, could anyone advise a solution to do this? I know the basics around networking but I haven't done this before. Is there a decent router with an easy to understand GUI to split a connection logically between different interfaces? I am looking to do a split of 10/5/5mb between 3 LAN ports.

Any tips would be appreciated!

It depends on your hardware, but this is quite simple to achieve if you have the right kit.

For instance in PfSense you could set up three separate VLANs (if you need to) and then using limiters you can split up the bandwidth that way.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the responses. I will have a look at the Mikrotik option and put my learning cap on. I have been told they can be rather intimidating.

Thanks again!
