I know it is possible to split traffic down two separate accounts (local/international), but can the same be said for splitting traffic down a shaped account and an unshaped account based on the port it uses?

For example: I play WoW and America's Army, for which I would like to use an unshaped account. However, I also spend a lot of time downloading stuff and generally browsing high-bandwidth websites. Obviously I only want my online gaming to use up the cap on the unshaped account, and not everything else. Would it be possible using Route Sentry or IPCop to route the traffic through the appropriate account based on the port?

I hope this makes sense...

Not sure Route Sentry would help, since it is designed for local splitting.

But using iptables in Linux (IP or Linksys router) you can certainly re-route traffic to different interfaces (or pppoe connections) based on either the source or destination ports.

I would guess that it shuld be possible with IpCop or any router where you can have multiplee PPPOE connections and setup routes on the router.

RouteSentry uses a file that contains a list of ip address ranges to route through the "local" connection.
You can just change that file to route the "Unshaped" stuff through your unshaped connection that route sentry dials.
But, RouteSentry is made to use only 2 connections I think, so then you cannot do shaped, unshaped and local.

not too worried about local. The issue really is whether I can get Route Sentry to split based on port rather than IP or subnet.

Otherwise is there a set IP or IP range that one would use when connecting to WoW? I mean it would be easy enough just inputting the IPs for AA or BF2142 servers or whatever, but does anyone know what IPs WoW uses?

*facepalm*

of course. Doesn't help to forget that when I am writing an exam on it next week :(
