Durban – A small group of protesters disrupted lectures at the University of KwaZulu-Natal on Monday morning, a spokesperson said.
"There are reports of sporadic protest action on the Westville and Howard College campuses," university spokesperson Lesiba Seshoka said.
A group of about 20 people disrupted some lectures at Westville's T and L Blocks earlier in the day. Security guards dispersed them.
Protesters at the entrance of the main Howard College campus were also sent on their way.
Seshoka reminded students that the university had obtained a high court interdict protecting it against unlawful protests, disruptive gatherings, demonstrations, mass action, intimidation, or any violence directed at people or property.
The university’s security service and police would monitor all campuses and conduct regular access control checks.
Six students were arrested at the Westville campus following protests on Friday.
