After more than a month of fiddeling I got my Spore working. So I start the game offline and click the "Play" button. Then I select a planet and choose the cell stage. Then that video of where you fall from space playes and it shows me how the rock I am in breaks open. BUT THERE IS NOTHING INSIDE!!! I use wsad to move but there is nothing to move!

What is going on, am I maybe making a stupid misake, please tell me I am!:(

Did you install a no cd crack? Do you have the original game? If not, then that could be your problem.

I had a similar problem in the creature stage. I picked a different planet and then it worked fine.

Uhm, well yeah, I'm not very proud of it but I am a TOTAL pirate and I only have one original game out of about 300 copied ones :o:o:o So it is quite possible.

Thats the thing, a few people I know also told me that but it doesn't work for me. Thanx for the suggestion though:)

Actually I own the game and it happened. I did the patch and it hasn't happened since, but I haven't played it much since the patch came out much either

I installed spore.
It worked fine.
3 hours later I uninstalled it.
Biggest waste of money ever.

...and I feel sorry for those of you bought the Galactic Edition. That must have SUCKED.

Actually no it didn't, I didn't get suckered into all the hype around Spore, so I am perfectly happy with my purchase. Not to mention that I got the GE for around the same price as the normal edition upon release. :)

Yeah, it did, but it gets worse, i bought the normal version, then on the way home noticed a copy of the galactic edition, so now i have two virtually unused copies of Spore

oooh...

i got the GE as well.

that damn will right  and the the funny thing is I knew he made the sims, and I hate the sims!

the demo was fun, but the game was a waste

I thought The Sims (original) was quite fun when it was first released. Was a breath of fresh air from all the twitch-inducing FPS / Action games.
