Spore - September 2008!!!

For those of us that have been looking forward to this title, a release date has been confirmed, September 7th 2008.
From the look of things it is world wide for PC, MAC, Mobile and Nintendo DS.

EA and Maxis have just announced that Spore will be available to retailers worldwide on September 7th, for the PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS, and mobile phones.

"The wait is almost over," said Maxis Chief Designer Will Wright. "We're in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can't wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year."

Spore is a game which gives players their own "personal universe in a box" (sort of like that episode of The Simpsons), where life is created and evolved, tribes are established, civilizations created, and more. Plus, players can explore a universe of worlds created by other gamers, made by virtue of all sorts of creative tools used to customize every aspect, from creatures, buildings, vehicles, and even UFOs, which can all be shared and explored with other gamers around the world.

Damn .. it is a long wait ...! and at any rate it will most probably get delayed like titles always do.

I cannot wait for this.

The Spore Creature Creator will be released before the full version on June 17, 2008 so that users can create content for the game before the full version goes on sale. The full version of the game is due to be released on September 5, 2008 in Europe[3], and September 7, 2008 in North America and other territories.[4]

Spore is going to SUCK!!! and by that I mean its going to be AWESOME... I have been waiting on this gmae for YEARS now as have millions of other people.. my fear is that when it comes out, it wont be able to live up the expectations which have been building through delay after delay after delay
