Sport?

I played action cricket in Pta, but since I moved to the Cape I have not been able to find a team :(

Taking up swimming from January and I am also thinking of starting to play tennis at a local club.

Used to be an avid Badminton player. Grew up with the sport and also played provincially while at school.
Stopped playing a few years ago as my knees just couldn't take the punishment anymore. Especially with rugby, tennis, action cricket and squash contributing to the impact when I was at school.

Would love to get involved with action cricket again.

At the moment I do a some P90X to stay fit.

Referring to the past... used to play rugby, soccer, hockey, cricket, action cricket, tennis as well as long jump, triple jump, 400m hurdles and 100m relay. Dropped athletics after varsity, played league or higher for the rest except tennis (now very social). Injuries curtailed rugby and soccer and action cricket (tore calf muscle recently) so I'm left with masters hockey and a golden oldie cricket team in the local leagues.

I don't think I've ever done anything more energy sapping than 400m hurdles. I might just as well have died after trying that! Never again!

Kudos for you guys who did it at every meeting and practiced for it during the week!

I was forced to do it!!! (had a combination academic/sport scholarship) I managed to escape many of the practices as it clashed with my primary sport, cricket, and my choice of lectures.

No one said golf yet, that's all I play these days.....

I've tried it, honestly!

But bloody hell it is kak walking around looking for your ball the whole time!

It's nice when things click into place and you start hitting the fairway every time. Then it becomes fun!

I'm playing squash now for over 7 years. Started it after I quite rugby. Had to much back problems. Would love to play rugby again, but old age is creeping in.

i want to start playing golf again...

are there any descent mashie courses in the JHB are besides the world of golf?

Started playing five-a-side football a few years back and stepped it up to 11-a-side soon after. I now regret that I didn't start earlier.

Playing sport, especially team sport, is awesome. You interact with people, it takes the stress away and you get the exercise you need.

Soccer tennis mostly. been lazy though and haven't played recently.

also started a bit of road jogging
