Hi Guys,

anyone know of a WISP is the East Rand / Springs area? telkom is exceeding my expectation of being useless, and get the same repetitive " there is nothing wrong" nonsense... or "the exchange is congested" , oh oh, and i also got "its your account, try this test 4meg account, as your account is 2meg" and there is no difference between the 2

there is 1 WISP , with a semi decent looking site, but their number no longer works, no i am assuming no more WISP,

anyone else in this area know of a company i can contact?

Plenty of areas in Springs are covered with Telkom's uncapped LTE deal. I know you have reservations, but it's a fantastic deal if you can get it.

I actually tried it, Lte signal stops about 2 blocks up from us, and the 3G doesn't work too well, we only get edge :-/

I also don't think the amount of data they offer on contract will suffice for tv streaming, the Dstv cord is pretty much cut

I was referring to http://www.telkom.co.za/today/unlimited-broadband/ I stream all my content. I haven't been a TV(sabc or dstv) slave for eight years or so.

Nope, according to map, still stops 2 blocks up from where we live
