Sprinkler system zone help

Hi, hope someone can help.

I have a 7 zone system and last week out of the blue, zone 4 would switch on every time any other zone was on.

So I changed 2 of the valves and still I am having the same issue. In fact now zone 3 won't even turn on via the control box only manually, which screams electrical, but I don't know what could be causing this? Wires seem fine.

Any ideas?

have you got a multi meter, or a 24 volt low watt globe .

Maybe your wiring can be shorted out somewhere. Disconnect outputs and test for volts [24 vac].

Thanks. I don't have a meter, but now is probably the ideal time to get one.
