Spur Incident

She could have handled it better. If I was in that situation I would like to think that I would have stayed calm, and rather call the restaurant manager and/or security to handle the uncivilized person.
So your gonna keep calm if somebody screams at you in a aggressive way ? Turns out both of them were in the wrong .

See the bold part, chances are I won't. But if my kids are present I would really try to though. I try to stay calm around my kids and act as I would want them to act in the same situation.

Billy go play outside daddy wants to talk to the nice lady :D

A 10 year old attacked a 5 year old. That's assault but because it is black on white you'll look away I guess?

You can't charge a child that young for even more serious crime. Even murder and rape they get sent for correction with no chance of custodial

This. Charging a 10 year old for assault LMAO. For just a slap too haha.

The judge would probably see it for what it was, a playground scuffle, and throw that nonsense out.

Guys, I think we are missing the point.

The real losers in this video are the people still going to Spur in 2017.

And there you go. Racists don't want to associate with people of colour. They want us to go back to apartheid where they didn't have to associate with people of colour. If that man was truly racist in this incident, he'd have probably got management to ask the black family to leave.

Not to carry on, but racist behaviour is not limited to one race not wanting to be around another race. Racist behaviour can also be displayed in the way a person reacts or behaves toward another race. When I first watched the video I was convinced his attitude toward her was coloured by racism, but now that more things have come to light about him, it's obvious that that's how he treats all women.

Well now that the burger special is coming to an end there would be no reason to go to Spur anyway.
Boycott them for being racist and banning only the white guy.

the last time i went to spur, there was an old biltong type rib bone under the nice rack of ribs i ate first, looks like it was lying under the grill for a few months.

told the manager and said we had to leave i don't want another plate he offered, i said i would pay half because i ate half, the manager response was, "what do we look like? the discount kings?" so i informed him how bad his management skills are and never returned.

If that's how he treats women, I wonder how he treats his little girl

This ^

Spur is crap. Really they are. They used to good many many years ago. Unfortunately not anymore.

I am dumbstruck by how busy they continuously are though. What the hell am I missing? Is the education system to blame?

^ typical

well jumping to his little girls defense as we can all clearly see, how would you judge it.

The woman, also, is at fault here.

I once was faced with a similar incident at a parents' gathering at my daughter's school. I asked my daughter if she had tripped the child in question and she said yes and it was a mistake - I called the other kid and I told my daughter to apologise and forced them to hug and 'take 5'. And that was really the end of it.

We have to handle these situations on behalf of our children in a manner that is mature and is a lesson for all involved. It is not okay to spew profanities in front of children. They did not learn anything valuable from this situation. Perhaps even traumatised by it all.

exacatilly

While I agree with most of what you say, I disagree with the bold part. Yes, you do get men that are exactly what you describe, like this cowardly imbecile in this video, but most men are not like this. That is quite a bold sexist statement to make. So you cannot accuse somebody of being racist and then turn around and say something sexist, that makes you no different to the racists on MyBB.

Yes most men are not like this, but more than a few of the men in SA are like this. Prone to violence and abuse of women and children and itheir runs across colour lines and even happens in supposedly educated and affluent areas too. Look at the Stats. It's a problem that we need to admit to having as that is the only way to start fixing it.
