Spur Incident

Just release the footage and everybody will shut up problem solved.

Both black and white people are threatening to boycott Spur now.

It is not in Spur’s best interest to release the video material. There are two other parties involved, each which may be willing to pursue this legally against each other. Get the parties to agree with each other in the releasing the video material, then it may go public. This is evidence.

No matter what the CCTV footage shows, those defending this thing will continue to look for excuses.

How can you even begin to compare the reactions of toddlers to that of a grown woman?

I was being facetious. My point was that you can't conclude anything from the reactions of people in stressful situations.

A likely story, your bias against Spur and whataboutism is very clear.

Likewise your bias against the testimonies of people who were there is clear. I in fact did not rigidly choose a side, referred to the balance issue with two extremes and mentioned the prior incidents.

As for whataboutism you are right:

That is why I wouldn’t mind for justice to take its course. Unfortunately, I think that this will die out in public debate. Challenging things like this legally is rough on a person’s well-being and bank balance.

How does CCTV evidence compare with eyewitness account? Which is more likely to be accurate? Which is less likely to be clouded by bias?

That testimony is in direct contradiction to Spur's statement. People who have access to CCTV and waiters that were also there. Which sounds more reliable to you?

Clearly somebody is lying.

Remember that in the future when the tables are turned and statements made by people you choose to believe because it suits your framework of reference, and possibly, agenda.

That says a lot.
