My 240gb SSD drive has around 150gb free space. Basically everything I need is on this drive. Is it necessary to move anything to one of my HDDs?

Rather get cloud storage like Pcloud with Crypto. Wait for black friday and you can get 500gig for $175 or use Google Drive etc. Since a fire can break out at your home or it can get stolen unless you can store the HDD offsite.

The general consensus used to be to keep at least 10% free space on any SSD for TRIM to work properly, but lately this recommendation has been under fire and some sources saying it is not important with drives with modern drive controllers.

You should be fine with that amount of free space. Go forth and enjoy your SSD.
