Much faster loading times when you run the games off a SSD & that's about all, but for me that was enough reason to upgrade to a 1TB SSD.

Don't play games apart from some Sudoku but upgrading to SSD is like two different worlds. Windows and program startup is instantly.

Cloned and installed my drive earlier this week and I can't believe I waited so long to do it.

I was thinking of getting a SSD drive for my PC as a "quick upgrade", with the intent of putting the OS and games on the drive itself.

For those of you who have SSD drives, do you actually experience better performance in games, or is the only noticeable difference loading speed?

As the others have said, it's the best upgrade you can make.

Edit: Loading speed, so for games that load from disk often, you'll see a huge improvement. You will definitely see a huge improvement in your overall Windows speed and Application load times - it's just short of instantaneous.

Ok, thanks all for the replies :)

Will get one sometime in July

Read up on TLC and MLC types of SSD's before you make your purchase.
