SSD Question - What are good random read & write speeds for a SSD?

Hi guys

I am looking to purchase a ssd. I have read that the random speed is more important than sequencial speeds if you going to load your OS on it. What is a good range for these speeds.

Yes I have done that but I would like to know what speed is a good speed. If I'm not going to feel the extra 20mbs or so difference then I might go with a cheaper option
