SSD to M2 SSD Upgrade

I want to upgrade my SSD in my PC to an M2 drive. I already got the M2 drive and I'm ready to install.

I did some searching and there seems to be a few options. I downloaded one called AOMEI but when it got to the "migrate OS" option its asking me to buy the full software.

What is the best method to transfer my OS across? I just want the license mainly, everything else I can download again to reinstall.

Have you tried MiniTool Partition Wizard?

I think if you find an older version it's still nagfree. 11.5 or earlier.

I find it easier to associate your licence key to your Microsoft account and just reinstall Windows, when you log in after you reinstall it'll use your existing key

Just select Clone HDD and make sure destination SSD is initialised and formatted.

I agree with this. It is totally painless to reactivate Windows using the digital signature.

Also, it is probably a good idea to start fresh with Windows periodically. A new disk is a good excuse to do this.
