I looked for a travel and holiday forum but there appears to not be one
So
IF anything to do with Prince Harry is news ......??
Here is St Lucia and Harry ( PS ; It is NOT in KZN )

Idling in the foyer of the Sandals hotel in St Lucia, a familiar face suddenly bisects my line of vision.
At first I struggle to place the pale-faced, ginger-haired young man - his smart suit and crisp white shirt a stark contrast to the sunburn and beachwear sported by me and my fellow guests.
But then it all suddenly clicks in to place – it's Prince Harry, the fifth in line to the throne.

Certainly beats -- St Lucia ( KZN ) :D

Money is the best Passport .....

Can you use your passport to travel there?
Maybe
I would imagine you would need a plane ticket / boat cruise ticket ?
Maybe there are direct flights from London ?
How else does one visit a foreign country ?

I am sure it would make a perfect asylum hide-out for Zuma en kie
Especially CARNIVAL ......

Imagination

SA passport:
Saint Lucia - Visa not required - 6 weeks
Since Sol Kerzner left these shore we have NO-ONE with any [hospitality] building imagination.
Can you imagine a -- "Jade-Mountain" somewhere in Hout bay looking at -- Hangklip
??????????
Then you will not need a passport .....
HHhmm -- maybe in a few years time you might :erm:

MW why the obsession, not exactly a secret location. Often drive up that way, beautiful part of the country.

That's one hell of a drive since it's an island in the Caribbean. How did you accomplish that? :)

Never had any issues. Some parts you may need a 4x4 but the route is generally in good condition.

Certainly beats -- St Lucia ( KZN ) :D

:wtf:

Looshans

It's not all wetlands, you could go hardcore 4x4 in the rainy season if really concerned.
Many of the local people drive ordinary cars with no problems; so you do not have to hire a 4x4.
Personally, I always do hire a 4x4, for two reasons:
Some of the speed bumps on the roads in the north (Around Cap Estate), and also the potholes all over the island, can be quite pronounced; so I like the extra ground clearance a 4x4 gives me.
I like to explore off the main roads, like going down to five dollar beach, or the old track down to Anse Cochon; and for that you need a 4x4.
I usually hire a small 4x4, a Daihutsu Terios. The quoted rate for that is around 70 US, although when you add CDW and tax, it is nearer 90 US; but then I suspect that your 45 US rate for a car is without insurance and tax.
However, going back to my first point, I would guess that around 70% of Looshans have an ordinary car.
