thanks not working. busy translating Russian into something readable but still no information.....

don't think so ;) ...... looks like the only person playing a real copy is n1hilist and he's been fairly satisfied so far (waiting to hear more today).

Wanted to say "idiot i have bought the original but lets not get nasty"
if you were reading from the first threat you would see that i have bought the original

and if the "wanted to say idiot" person might note, I was referring to Brookelle ;) I see the post was a bit ambiguous though ;)

*ahem*

Anyway, Hoping patch 1.5.0.4 (or whatever it is) for English version comes out ASAP. But so far it's been v stable - what concerns me is that, if the new patch breaks my current progress, I'll be annoyed.

dood there is 3 patches out already http://www.stalker-game.com/en/?page=patches

ok and just tested it at work and the game works on xp. my vista setup still gives me S@#$. yesterday from 5pm to 10pm i read forums and tried getting the crap working. maybe its just my pc. pitty payed 17k for a system and can't even run a silly directx 10 game.

hehe, maybe that's why there's issues ......... wrong patch being used.

The patch is on gamershell, its that one we talked about last night, its labeled v1.01 and its also named 1.5.0.3 AFAIK.

"Deactivate your hdmi sound device on the 4800 card." guy told me this is a fix. can someone tell me how to do this please

I see the error seems to only have hit Vista64 users so far ........ (gamespot forums)

there's also some peeps who reckon it's the DX10 that's giving the hassles ..... and that switching to DX9 gets rid of the probs.

I'm using the DX10 renderer, on Vista 64 and it's fine. 177.83 drivers.
