Standalone Internet Radio

Hi. I'm in my late sixties and I'm looking for a standalone internet radio device that will stream over wifi, has small speakers with excellent sound and a friendly interface to browse/select stations. I just want to listen to international radio stations like BBC2 etc etc. whilst working in my kitchen, so I don't want anything bulky.

This is an item which will be purchased via my insurance company to replace a different stolen item and needs to be purchased here in south africa - they will not entertain buying something on the internet like Amazon etc.

The Roberts ColourStream radio priced at around R3,400 would be ideal but can only be ordered from overseas.

Would appreciate any recommendations?

I'm not familiar with any if there is it would probably be imported.

Have you considered a proper decent blue tooth speaker with premium version tunein app?

Have you considered a small mini-hifi you can add bluetooth to and stream from your cellphone? (I know its not what you're after, but a cheap, flexible alternative).

Another alternative is a Logitech Squeezebox connected to a mini-hifi.

Just get an amazon echo or Google home. Connect it to tunein and can listen to all the radio stations your heart desires. Will be cheaper than your price in 1st post with postage etc.
