Can you do an immediate payment/eft to absa?

Usually when I do an EFT to my mother she gets it the same day, but not always instantaneously.

No EFT does not reflect immediately in ABSA from SBank.

Only when doing SB to SB.
SB to other Banks 1-5 days from what I've experienced.

I think that it is also dependent on whether the account you are paying into is a beneficiary on your account, but as stated by IceQB, and payments to banks other than SB are at best 1 day.

I stand to be corrected that with most banks, if eft is done before 12pm bene can receive payment the same day or latest 12pm that night.

Std bank seems to be the only bank that can take up to 2 days for payments to be reflected

Fnb is the only one that allows you an instant transfer but you pay like R40 for it
