Standard bank internet banking just goes from bad to worse.

This morning Internet banking not accessible - ask the call centre and all they can tell you is there is a system problem and to try again in few hours - but no clue what is actually going on.
And that after last week and earlier this week, when the site (even the normal website let alone the banking site) was slower than an ox-wagon - pretty much unusable at times.

Ever since they seem to have embarked on their upgrade in the last year or so, the service levels have become worse and worse on internet banking.

What gives Standard Bank??? - nothing on your website or anywhere else to notify customers, let alone apologise.

Also have a whole load of issues with all their self service channels lately (except for ATM's). Don't know what is happening over there, but it is costing them big time, in terms of reputation as well as income.

When Internet banking was down this morning I found that the Android app was still working.

But, cmon Standard, you need to be better than this. Why not keep a seperate web site running which offers a copy of an old, stable version?

As excited as you are inside Standard Bank with the new toys, we just want to get work done without the exciting, broken updates.

what frustrating is that they launching a new site but the old one isn't even working properly. what a brainfart.

last week I couldnt add a damn beneficiary. hit them on twitter. they reply that their systems are up and running. I tell them 'how the hell can you tell me that when I cant add a damn beneficiary'. silence. next work day they ask me hows things and ask if im sorted.

then internet banking is down. then the app is down. im not sure whats going on there but they have gone from reliable to a shambles moving from one fsuckup to the next. a customer shouldn't have to fear payday because their bank has capacity problems. or at least that's my interpretation.

So Friday I tried to draw some money from a standard bank atm (I am with absa) and the atm just said processing without giving me the cash. Phone absa and they confirmed that money was taken out of my account and I got a case number. Now what are the chances of them giving me my money back? :/

Not exactly the right thread...

Yep - wrong thread, but hey.

You should get it back within 5 - 7 days. Their checks and balances are usually pretty much spot on.
