Standard Bank smartphone app updated

Nice app. Used it to buy prepaid electricity, but then it stopped working for City of Cape Town.
Must check it again to see what's available.
 
Standard Bank must have taken all the FNB developers.

FNB hasn't added new features to their app or banking for many many months.
 
since the update, none of my accounts are/can be linked. Was fine before that

No need to, they're already ahead. SB is only now allowing you to adjust your limits online...
 
After the update, none of my accounts appear and I can't add them again either. I just get a message saying they are already added. Deleted the app and reinstalled, added card again, and no accounts are displaying.

Basically, strange characters in the device name causes the app to hide the accounts. It baffles me how they did not test this properly, since the default device name for any iOS device is "Name's iPhone". The apostrophe is going to be there in 90% of all iOS users who couldn't be bothered to change the device name.

Pity they didn't increase the max amount of electricity you can buy from R500. R500 electricity isn't worth much nowadays.
