Buy airtime on takealot
Do not use takealot.com. tried to screw me out of 2 valid warranties.
Yea takealot is scam to the max lots of threads about them. Bought dell laptops on separate occasions, ram replaced with no name, some ram missing, one had a none serial matching harddrive etc.Do not use takealot.com. tried to screw me out of 2 valid warranties.
Relevant as ****...
I also picked this up in October, a charge that never occurred before. I checked on their website and this charge only applied if you had the "pay as you transact" type accounts, but was free if you were on a fixed monthly fee. After a lengthly phone call, they promised to credit the charges back to my account. I then received an SMS rather rudely informing me that my request was rejected.
Then Emailed them with a copy of the official bank charges details as stated on their website.
Received an SMS response 9 October advising me that the 3 amounts of R1.10 that I had already been charged would be credited to my account. Still waiting for the credit!!!
BTW I always recharge via Internet banking.
I think they snuck in a change here
