Standard offline ?

Had problems over the weekend. Had my card declined at P'nP so used Capitec card.

Tried again at Spar later in the day (Saturday) and had it declined again. Tried again on Sunday morning and same story, declined.

Phoned SB card division this morning to find out what the hell was going on as the card was in credit with just over R15k and was simply told 'they had problems over the weekend'.

Seriously considering cancelling my card as it seems to be of little use.
 
Same thing happened this past weekend. Went to ATM to withdraw some money, entered PIN and transaction got cancelled. Feeling sceptic, walked to another ATM in another mall, successfully withdrew money (yay), followed by changing the PIN incase of fraud... I walked back to previous ATM machine and saw others successfully withdrew cash, so probably just a network issue.
 
Why would the call centre need my login card number to give me a reference for my call ???
Even worse was they told me twice there was no problem when my screen said banking problem , try later....
 
There seems to be a problem somewhere which they are unable to resolve. My card was again declined at the Spar yesterday.

Third time now so the owner already knows me. Went back today to go pay and the card went through without a problem. Sent SB a long nice letter to tell them what I think. Card has now been declined 6 times in around two weeks while its in a credit of close on R20K.

No problem with internet banking but I do not use the SA site so maybe a local problem.
