If anyone in the Pretoria East area or surroundings needs the files PM me. My third and hopefully final day to download this game, so if I can spare someone the frustration, sure. PS I must still figure out if you just copy and paste the files or if there is some other method, will do it tonight after work.

I've got to be honest, I can't even remember how we did it.

I'm sure I just googled how, and it's as simple, irrc, as starting the download, stopping it, then dumping the files into the spot where they were downloading to, then restarting the install.

Also make sure to check Verify files in options just incase there may be corruptions. Works as stated above.

Cool thanks, did that just now. 1 Hour and 14min left. I swear if this is finished and the game tells me to download a patch.

Patch 2.2 is currently in testing, so be prepared for moar gigs soon.

It's pretty frustrating having to download so much data so often, but after all, this is an alpha build. The problem is with the CryEngine .pak files that contain the game data. there is no way currently to do a small incremental change to a .pak file; if any part of it changes, you have to re-download the whole file, and they are multiple GB's each.

CIG are apparently working on a better incremental patching system since many backers are unhappy about the current patch sizes.

I don't think it will be ready by this weekend; the latest test build is still limited to a very small number of players. Chances are they will uncover more bugs as more players get included.

If it pushes to live by end of next week, I think they'll have done well.
