Star Citizen

That's a pretty good idea. You are welcome to come collect the files too, if you want.

Might have been asked and answered before, but you that are playing SC what is your controller setup. Do you use joysticks and rudder pedals and what type or keyboard and mouse etc.

Stick for flying (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro). Mouse + KB for the rest.

Yada yada yappity smack. Just more sensationalist "journalists" looking for clicks. I'm not going to indulge them.

It is not sensationalist in the least, it is change in their policy. Since it is yada yada yappity smack you agree that refunds are nonsense?

The sensationalism is people trying to make a big deal out of it. This is probably the third or fourth update. The original TOS pretty much prevented you from getting a refund in any case. EU law requires them to offer a refund to an EU citizen within 14 days if they request it. Anyone else is out of luck. The only way a refund can be considered is if the project fails completely, in which case, there will be no money left to repay anyone anyway.

Honestly, I'm not interested in this crap. No-one ever bothers to read the TOS on anything.

Okay think I have solved my problem maybe. Posting here if anyone has similar launcher problems " no file index " maybe this will work for you to. I downloaded and installed ghost vpn. Then started my launcher and what do you know no errors clicked on install and it started downloading the game. I now switched off the vpn and started the download again and its still working. Seems that my ip was the problem connecting to the download servers initially but now after starting the download it seems to be resolved. Other thing Ive noticed when running the vpn it closed my origin and amd gaming evolved apps that was running could have been that also. Will continue my download with my night surfer. Hopefully my ocd to fix a pc problem can rest now :)

Good to know! :D

I despise the Gaming Evolved app; I always remove it when updating drivers. It apparently doesn't play nice with Star Citizen, so be careful.

Next one for you, I have a R9 270 that only works 100% in my pc, in any other pc it gives black screens in games after x minutes and freezes up the pc. :D Hardware, PSU, RAM etc all fine on the other systems as other GPU's works on there without a hitch.

Yeah that sounds like a difficult one. Different psu in other pc's comes to mind are they all gaming psu with enough power ?

Same PSU on the other system, another GPU will work perfect on the other system also. A very weird one indeed.

Often in the past when swopping GPU's, I've had to reset the BIOS to get the system to boot with a new GPU.

Could you maybe list which GPU's and PSU's are being used in the other systems?

My daughters system
Intel DH67BL Motherboard
i5 3470 CPU
2 x 2GB 1333Mhz and 2 x 4GB 1333Mhz
Huntkey 550W PSU (Was in my system, ran the R9 270 like a boss with no issues)

OK, so when you insert the 270 in her system, it gives black screen and freezes after 10 minutes of gaming? Is this all games or something specific?

Mostly all games, some less resource hungry games will last a hour. When I take her PSU and GPU and put it in my system and run Star Citizen on high the Gpu heat will go up to 87 and sit there with 3 hours of gameplay behind me, no issues. I have taken this PSU and GPU to multiple friends, all get the black screen on games after a while lol, on same drivers also and Windows 10 64 bit. Some weird witchcraft going on here.

That is pretty weird. Have you tried looking at the Event Viewer history to see what caused the crash?

ATI EEU PnP start/stop failed. Running on Windows 10 x64 Pro (Version 10.0.10586 Build 10586) Windows 10 updates are about halfway done. Also tested from the newest AMD driver and on 4 older versions.
