Hi Guys

I got this game as a gift for xmas. I have an old(2005) pc (dual core 3.0) with a geforce xfx6600gt graphics card and 500w psu running win7. Is there any patch or fix that anyone can recommend. The game is unplayable (fps to slow). I realize from another discussion in the hardware section that I seriously need an upgrade but I was just wondering if any of you more experianced gaming guys know of another fix. Perhaps lowering graphics needs etc. The game options screen doesn't have much except changing screen res, but is there anything else I can do as a last resort before putting the game on a shelf until I can afford an upgrade. I have an asrock 775S61 mbo by the way.

Any ideas (other than upgrading the rig)?

I thought about buying the game and read a few reviews beforehand. Apparently it's one of the worst ports to pc from a console yet. It suffers from slowdown (low fps) on even high end machines. Maybe wait for a patch?

- optimized in game cloth handling
- optimized in game trees leaf handling
- added a detail setting to improve performance on lower end (dual core) machines
- addressed audio stuttering issues
- addressed options disappearing briefly after pressing [Esc] at the Main Menu
- addressed flashing placeholder text
