Hi All
Went to watch the new Star Wars movie. This is was the first time seeing any of the Star Wars movies.
I quite enjoyed it.

What would be the correct order to watch all the others in?

Thanks

So, ignore the numbers attached to the names (Episode 1) etc and just watch them as they were released?

Some say watch 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 7 (That's cause they hate 1 - 3).
I found it made a lot more sense watching from 1 - 7 (But don't let anyone know I told you that or I will be banished)

The Machete order skips episode 1 completely. Ther order's creator believes Episode 1 to be irrelevant. So it's :

4, 5, 2, 3, 6, 7

Personally, I would watch it in episode order, start with one - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Watch it in any order except following the episode numbers. I personally do it in release order, watching the prequels before the originals wouldn't work for me

I agree. The Machete order thing sounds good only if you are trying to find a way to work around some of the issues with Star Wars like the Luke's father reveal and Jar-Jar Binks. If you are just willing to accept Star Wars for what it is, then watch in as mentioned above.

****** SPOILER ********

What Star Wars are you watching? The Machete order doesn't go around Luke's father reveal... That happens in 5?

One thing that I feel needs to be mentioned. Is to watch Star Wars the clone wars. Although a cartoon, a lot is revealed and understood about Anakin.
HTH

I watched it 1 - 6 a few weeks ago. Saw 7 last week.

Also a newb to the whole SW's thing.

It was okay I guess. It's kinda hard to watch 4 - 6, the graphics are really bad, even on a 10GB Bluray copy.

I'm glad I did though, now I get the jokes and my friends finally shut up about it.

Who's his father?
