Ai. Our government should bend over backwards to accelerate Starlink in South Africa. Internet connectivity adds to GDP and creates jobs. It is an enabler. Choking it with BEE is ironically causing disadvantaged people to be worse off.

There is one major issue: no VPN capability. I work from my farm, and frequently need to connect to client servers via a VPN. No go. And no VPN for privacy or any other use case.

So it's about 5 times slower than starlink, which makes it more expensive when comparing apples to apples. The only reason starlink isn't launching is BEE. So much for fair competition, again forced by the government to engadge in subpar degraded services and bs companies.

Starlink uses CGNAT rather than a public IP. You should be able to use a VPN, but it depends on the service.

With MorClick or starlink?

I read test conducted in other parts of the world that Starlink latency is around 45 to 60Ms. With that type of latency i can move remote locations to the cloud without time out issues which would be fantastic. Is the fact that Starlink has not deployed enough Starlink satellites to service to cover Southern Africa due to our governments demand for BEE resulting in you testing around 100 to 200 Ms here? If it is the government's demand make no sense at all as it could play a very large role in stimulating remote businesses and even education.

No terrestrial stations here. That's the reason for increased latency

dont like our goverment coming up with excuses for not allowing Starlink,

but I guess were past the point of them caring about something other then their enrichment.

it is a problem with satellite internet as a whole. The compression they use to reduce downlink latency does not allow for encrypted VPN connections.
