Jut want to find out if anyone is or has used Star Sports Premium for live EPL/football streaming?
In the past I have used the OSS and NTV.mx services but the buffering drove me insane especially due to the monthly fee.
Eventually I cancelled my premium sports services and I sort of happily using wiziwig however often enough I am left a little frustrated but at least its free.
I tested the Star Sports free with their 10 minute restriction and the buffering and skipping was not too bad.
Is it worth it...

PS: SS are having an awesome football special which is less than R80 for the ENTIRE EPL, La Liga and Serie A seasons.

I use premierleaguepass.
You need a SmartDNS like Overplay or UnoTelly though.
Once off payment for the entire season and it streams HD.
 
bein sports is a service I want to test next. They based in the middle east and north africa.
But they cover a lot of different sports and its in HD.
Think registration is difficult unless you use apple iphone or ipad with middle eastern account.

Are you refering to http://www.starsports.com/ ?
When I click subscribe it says there are no packages to subscribe to.

This might be an outlandish claim...but this tread could be monitored by SS as the definitely was a 'special' to 400 INR two days ago...

How are the buffering and load speeds in terms of your line speeds...?
I am running a 10mbps capped service.

On 10mb I used the full 4000kbps or was it 4500kbps and it worked fine.
Quality is really good.
Will sign up for another season this week.

whats your theoretical through put ? am getting about 7mb on my 10mb line but still think am a bit far from the exchange.

Definitely not.

I watch on my pc mostly but there is a Ipad app in the NZ store that works well also.

I think they are running a free trial until today if you want to try it quick. Not 100% sure though.

Also they have a special code to get 25% off which expires tomorrow. Works out to about R1300 for the season then.

In Chrome I get stuttering but in Firefox it works perfectly.

The code is on their Facebook page I think.
 
An update.
The Premier league pass app for Samsung smart TV works great.
