Start up with Vista

(Be careful when following this advice... this is located in the registry. A mistake such as deleting something could corrupt your PC. I recommend backing up before trying this)

1. Click on the Start Button, goto run and type in Regedit.

2. When Registry Editor loads navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER--> Software--> Microsoft--> Windows--> CurrentVersion--> Run

3. Right click on a blank space on the right column and goto new --> String value

4.Type in the name of the file and once done click ok

5.Select the newly made key and hit enter and type the exact location of the file with the extension added
E.g. Microsoft Outlook would be this...

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE

5.Click OK and close

6. Restart and see if it works

Adding the file to "Run" in the registry is fine too, people are extremely scared of regedit but there's not much more chance of messing up your PC than randomly deleting one of your files for no reason.

This method makes it a bit harder to stop the app launching with Vista though, no reason not to use the startup folder afaik.
