Starting a Python script as a deamon?

I know jack about python, just so you know.

I just installed HellaNZB which is a Python app. How would I go about starting it as a deamon? From the cli you just type hellanzb.py and it runs. I tried adding hellanzb.py to my list of deamons but the critter did not start.

If I'm not mistaken I think you can create a normal app from a .py file but my memory is full of holes.

Any ideas? Btw, running this on 32-bit Arch if that helps.

Change the code

import mymain
USERPROG = mymain.main

to

import hellanzb
USERPROG = hellanzb.main

Then run the script and see if it works.
