Been looking at starting a WASP, and having trouble finding information.

Anybody here have any experience or information? I'll thank you in song form.

Awesome....one of the best hair metal bands of the 80's!!! You going to be a cover band....wait, what were you talking about again?

hehe co-incidentally i saw WASP in EU in June. Wasn't expecting old blackie to be good but he was fricken amazing!

Re. the proper topic, WASP legislation is quite hectic now. It's changed a lot since the earlier WASPs started. You're probably better off essentially reselling WASP services with added services to differentiate yourself from the wholesalers.

Save yourself from the harsher of the legislation and registration directly. If business kicks @ss then move over to registering a full WASP. I think the market is actually quite full already, it will be tough without additional value adding services.

please start a WASP and start ripping off the mobile operator senior management by charging them exorbitant fees for services that they don't want!:D
Maybe this will get them to protect their customers!

Thing is, the country that I'm in (middle of Africa) doesn't have any wasps, so looking to start a basic wasp and take it from there; of course i have no idea of costs or hardware, so trying to research what i need.

Ah right... wrongly assumed you were in SA.

A lot of the infrastructure is not developed by the wasps themselves. They source messaging & data services from telecomm providers. Development of their middle-man servers to deal with the billing and handle gateway duty
