Sorry, I know this isn't helpful, but I feel compelled to add it anyhow...
1. A taste for cheap food and clothing*
2. An ultra pleasant attitude to deal with people who are actually irate with Telkom, IS or Verizon... i.e. Be prepared to take the flack for issues outside your control and for which you will receive a minimum stipend from the guys you will be making rich.
3. Lots of money or another source of income to see you through the lean start-up months... and to the other lean months until ICASA as we know it dissolves.
* unless you have another source of income and are doing this for the love of it or to simply make enough to pay for your own internet line

A much easier way to do it would be reselling ADSL, We offer wholesale ADSL prices to resellers with a fully re-brandable front-end management portal.
Below is a demo login to our management portal, happy playing:
WD has also developed a front-end solution allowing resellers the following:
· Re-branding
· Adding new ADSL accounts (Selecting Packages, PLUS, Activate immediately or batch for 00:01 on the 1st of next month)
· Deleting account (This batches the deletion for the 1st of the previous month)
· Editing account (Changing password, Package sizes)
· Suspending and Activating
· To demo the front end go to http://demo.adsl.wd.co.za
· Login details: reseller: - demo / password: - demo
