A bit of a noob question. As a low level character how does one move to one of the other starting areas, as easily as possible.

I am going to start an elf and my brother a human, and we would like to join up. I played on a test account till lvl 10 and found no way to do it.

Any advice?

Its very easy to do now. Go through the back of Darnassus to Rutherin Village, take a flight to Auberdine, take the ship straight to Stormwind, meet up in Goldshire :)
No more gauntlet to run from Menethil to Ironforge :)

Thanks all for the quick responses

Would i be able to do this straight away or should i level up a few levels before moving on?

You can go by boat now, but the easiest would still be to get a mage to portal you. Good luck finding a high level in Darn tho.. The only reason people go there now is to escape lag :P

imo you should both go to the spacecows starting aeria cos the where designed for you to level faster i.e quests and stuff are much closer 2 each other

btw, there is tram in Stormwind that takes you to Ironforge and back, so that you do quests in the dwarf starting area.

With my first ever character, I tried to get to Ironforge at lvl 17 by running through Burning Steppes. Spent a whole weekend, Monday and Tuesday night running 3 paces, dying, rezz etc. At work on the Wednesday my so-called buddy decided to tell me about the tram. The git.......

*lol* shame man

I know how that feels ... I once parked a lvl1 human in front of the gates of Orgrimmar. (Granted he was lvl3 by the time I got him there just by discovering new areas)

The Barrens' nooblets were perplexed with this little human running past them - most were too scared to go near me. Then some guy pelted me with his fishing rod :(

Heh, back when I was a noob I wanted to get from the Belf starting area to UC. I was told that I have to go through WPL and EPL. That hurt like hell until a random player took pity on me and told me about the portal in silvermoon.

Can't you just die, run in ghost form to IF and rez at one of the graveyards there?

you could have but they changed it some patches ago that, that dont work no more

Amberstorm, what server are you on?

On the off chance you're on the same servers as us, we could assist :p

Hmm, might still work. This is from Wowwiki in the Spirit Healer article:

If you run to a Spirit Healer at another graveyard and ask her to bring you back to life she will do so, but the resurrection sends you back to the graveyard at which you originally spawned as a ghost. However, if you log out and log back in, your character loses its association with that graveyard's Spirit Healer, so you will be able to return to life at the graveyard of the Spirit Healer you speak to. Thus, it is possible for a character to die in one zone, reach a spirit healer far away, relog, and resurrect safely at the nearby spirit healer. When relogging the minimap arrow for the nearest Spirit Healer will also disappear.

I will give it a try tonight.

True. But it shouldn't be too difficult to get one. You can also ask in chat where to find a graveyard, if you can survive the humiliation.

Which remind me when my friend did his first battleground (WSG). He died and ran away from the spirit healer, going for his body. Afterwards, he couldn't find the spirit healer again and spent the rest of the match as a ghost.

You can only res:

a) At your body
b) At the same graveyard where your spirit appeared.

EDIT: Oops, I didn't read this part. :o
