How would you get back into going to gym after a 4 week illness? Pneumonia in my case.

Prior to getting sick I was very fit but after 4 weeks of doing nothing I'm not sure how to start again. I'm not keen to swim because of the strain on the lungs.
 
Start slow, and slowly work your back up to where you were and gym normally again..
Don't try hit you pre-sick levels instantly
 
Cycle or run till you fit again. Swimming is very hard on your lungs so if you just had pneumonia its probably the last thing you should be doing.
 
But water aerobics (exercises) are the best - just stay in the shallow end and do them slowly - start with half an hour for the first go and gradually increase the time. This will be far less stressful on your body (and lungs) than cycling or running or swimming great lengths of the pool. Good luck and be really well soon.
